York International has a long history of community involvement with a focus on Westchester County.  Over half of our staff currently resides in Westchester, including our CEO, Robert Kestenbaum, who was born and grew up in Mount Vernon and now lives in Scarsdale.  Robert currently serves as a Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Mount Vernon.

 Volunteers of America Bowlathon for Charity
    
York International participated in a bowl for charity event sponsored by Volunteers of America.
 
 
Mt. Vernon Boys and Girls Club
   
Over 30 of York International Agency employees and family members helped prepare and serve over 200 meals to the elderly and needy at the Mt. Vernon Boys and Girls Club.
   
 Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center Golf & Tennis Outing
   
The money raised supports the many social services programs offered to the community by the Sid Jacobson JCC.

Support Connection provides support to woman and their families who are affected by Breast and Ovarian Cancer.  Our own Micki Scheier was named the Spirit of Caring Award honoree in 2008 and was the chairperson of the walkathon in 2010.  Click here to learn how you can help
   
York Yankees
   
York International sponsors a baseball team in Ridgefield Connecticut Little League.  York International’s own Stephen DeMatteo coaches the “York Yankees” and we are all proud that the team was the runner up in the 2010 Little League AA tournament.
   
York International Cares Dress Casual for Charity
   
Every other week in the Summer and once a month the remainder of the year employees donate $5 for opportunity to dress in business casual attire as part of our Dress Casual for Charity program.  York International matches the funds raised and donates to charity.
   
Grace Church Community Center Coat Drive
      
As part of our commitment to the community we worked with Grace Church for its yearly coat drive.  We collected 5 boxes and 7 large bags full of warm coats that will help the needey stay warm this winter.
   
  Grace Church Community Center Food Drive 
   
York International Cares worked with Grace Church Community Center of White Plains for its yearly food drive.  We collected enough food to help feed the homeless during the holiday season.
   
 Adopt-A-Highway

York International Agency adopted a 2 mile stretch of highway on the Hutchinson River Parkway.
